Exploring the the contours and muted colors this abstract nature painting aims to reveal the beauty of a single form and the sensuousness of a paint bloom. Enveloped by translucent colors and floating forms much of work in this series remains watery to the eye, almost out of focus, suggesting a distant perspective.
This painting is unframed so you can select a frame that reflects what you like. All my artworks are on a fine weave canvas made of either 100% cotton, linen or a cotton-polyester blend. Painted with professional acrylic paints the colors have a high pigment content which means a greater intensity of color. Canvases are stretched on either hardwood or pine professional stretchers, made in Melbourne. I like to do the initial assembling of the stretchers and stretching of the canvases myself which gives me a familiarity with the wood and the surface of the weave and marks the beginning of a new work.
