abstract landscape
This work was selected for the exhibition of finalists for Redland Art Prize 2014. Living on the edge of the bay, there is a myriad of transformations that occur in nature’s daily cycles of growth and decay. Fascinating patterns and rhythms emerge at the water’s edge which are translated into a silent language of organic form and colour in my work.

Made with love

This painting is unframed so you can select a frame that reflects what you like.  All my artworks are on a fine weave canvas made of  either 100% cotton, linen or a cotton-polyester blend. Painted with professional acrylic paints the colors have a high pigment content which means a greater intensity of color. Canvases are stretched on either hardwood or pine professional stretchers, made in Melbourne. I like to do the initial assembling of the stretchers and  stretching of the canvases myself which gives me a familiarity with the wood and the surface of the weave and marks the beginning of a new work.
